We've had this deer skull in our house for as long as I can remember; it hangs above the door in my wife's office. I'm not even sure where it came from... I'm guessing it was found in the woods not far from where we live. Regardless, I've always been captivated by the aesthetics of skulls.
I love how the light hits the surface and how shadows are cast by the cracks and openings. I also love the symmetry—they remind me of Rorschach tests. I've been planning to experiment with lighting and photographing this skull for quite some time, and I finally managed to do so this week. Thanks for taking a look.
There's a Beautiful Spirit in there. Maybe mine. And I love that very tippy top one up there!
great
