I recently had the opportunity to explore the old clock tower at the central school where I live. Built in the 1890s, the school has since been converted into apartments, but the clock tower remains unchanged. It holds a unique tradition: every graduate has signed their name on its surfaces, except for the clock and bells themselves. It's a place rich with history and amazing views.
I also had the chance to go into the old steam plant which has been updated and modernized. It still felt like something from another time. Thanks for looking.
Nice work! How did you score access to all this cool stuff!? And where was my invite? :P
Keep it coming, Dan!
I like much of this a lot. I like the subject a lot. I like the compositions, the angles, the lighting. Most everything is spot on, but I'm uncertain about the coloring. Uncertain. Still under consideration. It adds a flair, it stands out. I want to give that the weight of my thought, but it also detracts from the essence of the subject -- another time, another world. It adds a "pop" of fresh color to otherwise aged matter. Again, I'm uncertain. I'm wondering if you wouldn't mind sharing your thoughts on the coloring a bit. I am not asking to show us how you did it, but curious of your "why" and how you see it affecting the final images.
